VIOLET (she/her) is an actor and theatre-maker originally from San Francisco, California. She recently finished her MFA in Classical Acting at LAMDA and before that studied theater at UCLA. In Los Angeles, Violet produced and starred in Queen Bee at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2024 which was nominated for Best Comedy. Violet is a Pisces, a bookworm, and a younger sister (which seems to be where she learned to take direction).
While at LAMDA, Violet expanded her practice in theater-making, exploring directing, playwrighting, adaptation, and pedagogy. She is currently working on an adaptation of Uncle Vanya that spotlights the interactions between the young women in the play, investigating how the patriarchy positions young women against each other. In addition to acting, Violet is a fiber artist and sewist who loves to take on projects that are slightly too ambitious. She has a voracity for making things, whether that is developing new ideas for the stage or screen with friends or knitting a sweater for her mom. She believes strongly in the importance of being generative in her creative practice. In a rehearsal room or on set, this lends itself to her coming into the space with a clear point of view on the material and an eagerness to have that perspective challenged and expanded through collaboration.
