Kaya is of Jamaican and Bermudian descent. She grew up in the Pacific and moved to London for access to art, the intersection of Caribbean cultures, and to complete a scriptwriting Master's at Goldsmiths. Currently, Kaya Ti'moun is a writer based in South London. She runs Surasee, a FLINTA prioritised literary salon.
