SILAS (they/she) is a trans femme dancer, choreographer, and performance artist with professional training in ballet, contemporary, and improvisation from London Contemporary Dance School and a master's in contemporary dance performance from Northern School of Contemporary Dance.

Silas performs a lot of experimental solo improvisations in nightlife/ rave settings, galleries, and theatres, often working with collaborators such as their sister Delilah Grocott Cain. They work closely as they develop their collective ‘PussyBoy’, building a community of collaborators and a portfolio of work. 

Silas' work is always cross-disciplinary, working both in front and behind the camera, or on/ off-stage. Although most of their creations are rooted in movement, her approach to creating work uses a multi-media practice to explore all possible avenues and perspectives on the work.

Her credits include working with Marina Abramovic, Sir Ryan Heffington, and (LA)HORDE. Campaigns include Nike and British Airways, and music videos include Rina Sawamaya, Kobra Paige, and Wolf Alice.
