Bermuda born, Jamaican by blood and raised in Hawaii — Javi is an islander by heritage and a nomad by habit.
Since leaving home he has found it again in various places; New York, Nova Scotia, Paris, Barcelona, Northumberland, London, and currently Norwich.
"At many stages of the path I have tread so far, a sense of aimlessness had persisted; I believed I knew not how to partake of the world. But I worked steadily. I fell in love a few times. I read a lot, and wrote a lot. I hurt, badly; I loved, madly. I heard the myriad sounds, I dislodged childhood’s knife from my throat, I cried out in jubilation and pain."
Javi's passion is words. His proclivity and instinct is to write and read, and he spends a good deal of free time doing so. He is a passionate amateur musician, climber, and (less amateur) actor.
