On Sunday afternoon at the Fonderia Macchi, a giant, industrial warehouse on the outskirts of Milan, HARRY B walked the catwalk for the inimitable fashion power-house VALENTINO. After a week of fittings and getting to know the (slightly wet!) Italian fashion capital, he did us all SO proud by putting his best foot forward and flying the Crumb flag with style, elegance and grace.
After a turbulent 2020, to see such a monumental fashion house demonstrate values in humanity, equality and diversity (all which align so closely with our own) was truly magical.
More from Pierpaolo Piccioli on his vision for the SS21 RTW collection below :
“I wanted to give a different perspective to Valentino’s codes of romanticism: ruffles, lace, lightness. I wanted to talk about what that means today,” Piccioli said. His answer was to be found within the folds of the garments he presented on his industrial runway: pretty lace, silks and chiffons styled on a multi-faceted cast that included members of subcultural movements classically associated with the radical. Romanticism today, Piccioli declared, means “individuality, different cultures, and expressing opinions. It means humanity.”
A huge thanks to the teams at AAMO Casting + all the team at Valentino for making the experience so memorable and for Harry B for doing such a wonderful job.
