SHON FAYE (SHE/HER) IS ONE OF THE UK'S MOST EXCITING WRITERS AND ADVOCATES FOR TRANS LIBERATION.

Shon Faye is a British author, journalist, and activist known for her work on trans liberation, who was born in Bristol and now lives in London. After training as a lawyer, she left law to pursue a career in writing and advocacy, working with organizations like Amnesty International and Stonewall. Faye is the author of the acclaimed bestseller, The Transgender Issue: An Argument for Justice (2021), and her second book, Love in Exile (2025), which explores the politics of love and relationships. Her work has been featured in publications like The Guardian, Vogue, and VICE, and she hosts the podcast Call Me Mother

With a growing, engaged following she has worked on projects with OnRunning, Whistles, Axel Arigato and has been Dazed’s LGBTQ+ editor-at-large, has contributed to the Guardian, VICE, Attitude and is the presenter of the much-loved podcast Call Me Mother.
